Cambridge Scholar Delivers Landmark Lecture on East-West Dialogue in Chongqing
Professor Alan Macfarlane, renowned British anthropologist, historian, Fellow of the British Academy, Fellow of the Academia Europaea, Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, Fellow and Emeritus Professor of Cambridge King's College, and co-founder of Cambridge River Cam Press, delivered a lecture titled "Mutual Learning Between Chinese and Western Civilizations" at the Chongqing Financial and Exhibition Center. The event, part of the "Land and Sea Lecture Series," attracted an audience of over 1,100 participants. During the occasion, Professor Alan Macfarlane was appointed as the first "Land and Sea Reading Ambassador" for the shared reading initiative. Additionally, Cambridge River Cam Press and Chongqing University Press signed a cooperation agreement at the event.
