The 2025 "Yuzhong Tour" for Consular Officers – Chongqing Hongyan Metro Vertical Marathon kicked off with great energy, attracting nearly 100 Chinese and foreign sports enthusiasts to challenge themselves. It is reported that Hongyan Station is the deepest subway station in China, with a vertical height difference of 141 meters and a total of 860 upward steps.After participating in the event and visiting the exhibition marking the 20th anniversary of Chongqing rail transit development, Valentín Turis, the Acting Consul General of Uruguay in Chongqing, exclaimed, “Chongqing is a city full of surprises everywhere.” He noted that Chongqing's rail transit system is efficient and convenient, and its achievements are impressive.
