Exclusive - Saudi Documentary Chief Rayed - Documentary breaks stereotypes

During the seventh China-Arab States Broadcasting and Television Cooperation Forum held in Chongqing, Rayed Abdullah Mubarak, Director of the Documentary Center at the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, gave an exclusive interview to the Western International Communication Center. He emphasized that documentaries can deeply capture the diversity of Saudi society and challenge the stereotypes often perpetuated by international media. Both China and Saudi Arabia have expressed interest in co-producing a documentary themed around the "New Silk Road," aiming to connect the past and present through real-life stories and showcase the cultural and economic continuity between the two countries. It is hoped that this collaboration will offer international audiences profound narratives that go beyond fast-consumed content.
