How Wushan's Former Fishermen Built a Fruit Industry

Journalists visited Xingsheng Village in Wushan County, Chongqing. Against the backdrop of the “ten-year fishing ban” in the Yangtze River, local fishermen have successfully transitioned by transforming barren hills into approximately 2.7 square kilometers (4,000 mu) of citrus groves. They have also introduced drones to overcome transportation challenges in the high-altitude areas, achieving technological advancement in agriculture and industrial upgrading while protecting the ecological environment of the Yangtze River, thereby strengthening the green barrier in the upper reaches of the river.
